Founded in 2019 by Sarah, a qualified Aromatherapist, Herbalist and Flower Essence practitioner. JT began life in the kitchen of her home in the beautiful market town of Ashbourne. The gateway to the idyllic Peak District. Sarah’s ethos was to create a product that was eco-friendly and sustainable, working alongside nature to create mood enhancing fragrances that were also luxury home décor statement pieces. Being passionate about building a brand and a business that was proud to be made in England. Using only British suppliers Sarah set about sourcing the finest fragrance and essential oils and using packaging that was made from recycled materials and remained fully recyclable. Even down to the packaging tape we use. Bringing the products to the public Sarah began to stand at local markets in and around the Peak district. As the business grew it was clear that a move from the kitchen to a workshop and studio was inevitable. Sarah opened her first retail shop in February 2022 where the business continued to grow and in June 2022, we attended our first trade show at Glee at the NEC in Birmingham. In the background to all of this Sarah’s third son Barney had been working on the bits that the public do not see. He created this website, designed packaging and branding. Dealing with printers and suppliers and generally building the brand and bringing it to market. Barney joined JT as a full time member of staff in August 2022 as Accounts and Marketing Manager.
